The Walter R. May letter collection consists of ten letters written to Walter May in 1929. From the content of the letters it appears May wrote to a number of national leaders to ask what advice they would give to young people about to graduate. The letters include replies from a labor leader, the president of U.S. Steel, the president of American Telephone and Telegraph and Herbert Hoover, President of the United States, among others.
